Review of Collateral Beauty (2016) by Joshua A — 20 Dec 2016
Star studded line-up with a dense storyline about death, where Will Smith the main char- oh no wait, who's the protagonist again? Will Smith doesn't say anything in the movie. Edward Norton? No he was a bad father, oh must be Michael Pena he was dying so I guess.... he is?
The good thing about this movie was it was better than I expected, because I was expecting something worse than Suicide Squad and... and well it's on par.
This movie falls flat on the following:
Character development - Too many and it's based around Will Smith who should've been a mute character, he was close enough.
No motive - they wanted to overthrow their boss because they wanted money from a deal...? The boss wasn't making them money because... He is sad? Cmon.
The... Ending - Will Smith forgot who his wife was?
2/10 because I've actually seen worse. Will Smith needs to stop making serious movies.
