Review of Collateral Beauty (2016) by Matt A — 27 Dec 2016
Oh dear oh dear oh dear. Terrible in every sense. The premise is good, a grieving Dad is mourning the loss of his daughter and then gets visited by 3 'people' who are the embodiment of Death, Time and Love.
Couldve been such a poignant and heartfelt Christmas film, but turns in an overly sentimental and turgid film. The only saving grace is Will Smith, he does act really well, its just everything else that makes this film a self indulgent, cheesy, turd.
Avoid.
