Review of Collateral Beauty (2016) by Jeani B — 11 Jan 2017
Time. Death. Love. Some people have difficulties seeing Collateral Beauty in the experience of traumatic loss; many lose the will to live with loss of faith in a nurturing universe with devastating effects on their lives and families. Death. Time. Love. Treating these topics so central to human experience is challenging. Love. Time. Death. Awakening to the possibility that Collateral Beauty is every bit as real as something our society has come to accept as.
normal---collateral damage--- seems to be challenging for the critics. My hope is that we come to see Collateral Beauty as real.
Critics have called the movie banal, manipulative and unrealistic. They may not have eyes to see or ears to hear because I have seen and heard from people in life recovery things that are just as sumptuously amazing as the story line in this movie. In all it's nuances it is plausible to me. Please disregard the critics and go see for yourselves if Collateral Beauty is true.
