The last 10 minutes aught to be a hanging offense, but this is a great movie. The critics don't like it because they expected it to be uplifting. Morons. There's nothing uplifting about death, we just learn to deal with it in our own way.

That's what the character did. Through that lens you can treat it's humourous and philosophical moments with a little less nihilistic cynicism and just take it for what it is.
