Review of Collateral Beauty (2016) by Maryssa R — 18 Mar 2017
Ay yay yay!!! Forget the critics!!! I am glad I ignored their reviewans went with the audience reviews. The movie did a fabulous job at going to the heart of what we crave the most as human beings. Nothing wrong with that.
The most touching stories tend to seem the most simple. Maybe it's because the human heart is simple. Don't be fooled by the seemingly trite beginning. It actually isn't. The metaphor has more to do with an actual relationship as opposed to an abstraction.
But I'll say no more. Go and rent it! You'll enjoy it!! That is, if you have an actual pulse, as opposed to gigabites of memory that drill everything down to technical specs. Besides, most of these critics only watch the first 15-20 min.
Then walk out. They don't sit through the whole movie and evaluate it from a total perspective. OH... and they don't like to be touched. SWEET MOVIE!
