Review of Collateral Beauty (2016) by Antwan J — 02 Jan 2017
I thought this was a great movie. The ensemble casts performances well nuanced and empathetic portrayals of characters that have been through or are going through painful situations. The storyline was heavy at times, but not sappy, allowing the audience to experience the emotional moments in light doses.
I also liked the comedic moments interwoven into the dialogue. This was the most mature Christmas film I've seen since "It's a Wonderful Life". It was a reimagining of "A Christmas Carol" to me.
