Review of Collateral Beauty (2016) by Elizabeth W — 27 Jul 2017
I thought this was a very sweet film from beginning to end. Having lost two children, and now having a 5 year old and 3 month old, I carried the burden along with Howard. I know that isolation and the journey back to reality.
The acting was subdued from these A listers, but I believe it was by design. Each character was fighting their own battle and there helplessness showed on screen. I applaud these actors for their insight into these characters and giving this topic a voice.
There are widows and orphans, but there is no name for those who have lost a child. Think of this as you watch and hold your little ones a little tighter.
