Is there anyone among the current crop of American directors who can film big American cities after hours as brilliantly as Michael Mann?? Is there anyone who has mastered the hand held camera and digital video as perfectly as Michael Mann? Is there anyone who can capture urban twilight as beautifully as Michael Mann? People talk about plot holes in this film. Who cares about plot holes when a film looks this pretty?
Cruise and Fox deliver top notch performances but the real hero of this film is the director Mann and his cinematographer which takes this film beyond a standard cat and mouse thriller.
