Fueled with tense action and a series of unpredictable turns, Collateral turned out to be one of the unforgettable and one of the most thrilling rides you've ever been while watching a film. Many thrillers today has been too boring, too predictable, and too ordinary, because it uses all the same old routines, following a straight path, giving us all what we have been expecting, but Collateral is different, way too different.

You'll never know where you'll be in every next ten minutes of it, so unpredictable, right from the start up to the end, that's how this thriller works. I bet you thought Mark Ruffalo was a Mexican hoodlum the first time you saw him, and Tom Cruise's looks didn't make you think that he is a hitman at the first place, and you wouldn't tell that Jada Pinkett Smith will be connected all again in this wild plot.

Apart from being all that great, Collateral is well-acted, Tom Cruise's cold-blooded ruthless and a little bit of a psycho assassin with his witty lines and quick moves is maybe one of his best characters, and Jamie Foxx's goodwill personality and an innocent and slowly becoming a frustrated taxi driver is great, they had a good chemistry.

So, it all works. For a long time, my heart is pounding so hard and fast again, another well-crafted thriller from Michael Mann.
