Review of Collateral (2004) by Mahmoud S — 02 May 2013
How can a killer be good ? This is the point of Mann's villain, from a good performance comes a good movie. This movie is by far one of the most thrilling experiences in the serial-killing type, especially that skip to a dramatic scene at the end of the film.
The first thing Vincent (Tom Cruise) says in the beginning of the movie ''you're alright ?''. Then comes Max (Max) a geek-looking taxi driver looking in front of him carefully seeing the taxis coming and a sign '' one way '', then the first word spoken by Max English is '' Back there '' when he's asked about the airport direction, where Vincent was at the first place.
We can see the paradox here, when Max will meet Vincent, he's going back despite the ''one way''. The carrying character of Vincent will help Max catch up, unless something happens, something unexpected that will put Max in danger.
