Tom Cruise dazzles as a hitman in this slick crime picture from slick crime picture maker Michael Mann. The Cruiser delivers a performance worthy of winning an Oscar and the fact that he wasn't even nominated is baffling.
Jamie Foxx does his best to sink the film but Mann's eye for capturing L.A. at its best and Cruise's nuanced character inject the necessary adrenaline.
