A hit man with a kill list reserves a taxi for the night. Michael Mann's stylised thriller, which feels like a modern day film noir, takes full advantage of its city at night time setting to create an intense atmosphere enclosing compelling psychological and suspenseful themes.
Tom Cruise as the criminal gives a justly enigmatic performance.
