Review of Cold War (2018) by Trailesque — 17 Nov 2020
This is a gorgeous black and white film that follows a troubled romance that takes place in post-WWII Poland and France, and that hearkens back to cinema classics of the past. There is music, passion, and a depiction of the troubled political times.
Unfortunately the film also employs cliches and the characters fail to convince the viewer (this one, anyway) of their reality. Still, the stunning imagery and performances by the leads kept me fascinated to the end.
