Nothing groundbreaking about the story, but Cold War will go down as a classic Hong Kong cop movie. In a time where traditional Hong Kong cop movie is seen less and less, it is a breath of fresh air to see a film like Cold War to feature a predominantly local cast.
The film itself is suspenseful and filled with good acting by almost the entire crew. Also liked that it is ambitious enough to insert a teaser for the next film at the end. You just know it when something is good.
