Original, satirical, atmospheric, existentialist, and dark, with scenes deeply haunting and memorable. The Russian undertone just adds another subtle dimension to its sublime beauty.
Quite slow in parts, but if you're there for the overall artistic pleasure ultimately the trade off proves satisfying.
