Review of Cold Souls (2009) by Andrew S — 28 Mar 2010
Certainly not a film for the every day person. This film possess a highly imaginative concept. It reminded me of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind in concept at least and some of the plot devices are similar.
At times it even feels as if it was trying to replicate that certain scenes and yes even characters from that movie. Which it didn't really need to do that. It is an enjoyable film and more than capable of standing out on it's own merits.
I thought the film could have been better. While the script is original it seems it's lacking a little. But the character interaction between Paul Giamatti and Dina Korzun is fabulous. And the tone of the film is deliciously dark.
