Review of Cold in July (2014) by Daniel S — 08 Jun 2014
I was excited to see this after I saw the reviews from sundance, and im glad to say my expectations were exceeded, its an homage to john carpenter, from the great score featuring mainly the synthesizer, to using the same credits font he used, to the thriller plot and feel, it's quite tense and kept me engaged throughout the whole thing, all 3 leads are great and I loved the relationship that developed between them, I really had no idea where the film would end up going, and the trailer did a good job of not revealing it, it does get quite dark and depraved, one of the best of the year, highly recommend checking out.
