Review of Cold in July (2014) by Anthony K — 29 Aug 2014
Dark, compelling entertainment, that doesn't go at all the direction it appears to at first. Starting as a home invasion, this film has a couple of great plot twists that make it veer toward revenge thriller, and finally becoming a vigilante justice pic.
Given personality by its early '90s Texas(?) setting & feel, I actually prefer this film to the also-good Blue Ruin.
