Review of Cold in July (2014) by Dakota D — 21 Jul 2014
Cold in July is definitely a hidden summer gem. Gripping from beginning to end with its story that will surprise you at every turn along with characters so well written & performed that you will believe they are real living people.
Just like everything else in the film the visual style & cinematography is also very slick keeping your eyes enticed throughout the film. Cold in July had a very limited theatrical run, but many cable providers have it available on demand which is how I was able to watch it.
So if the trailer pulled you in like it did to me then I highly recommend you see this pulpy, gritty, masterful movie!
