Review of Cold Creek Manor (2003) by Private U — 26 Nov 2007

I thought it was horror/ghost film but is actually a mystery/psychological thriller. Definitely one that puts you on edge, though I despised the over the top drama transition musical piece which was too jarring in my opinion and took something away from the reveals and perilous scenes.

Otherwise the film is good, well acted all round. Most of the film lacks pace, being rather slow, which makes it easy to get tired around the middle because you pretty much know what's coming and are merely waiting for the badness to occur - but it does comes to a heady conclusion.

Not quite what I expected but still possibly worth a watch if you're in the mood for what it is.
