Review of Coherence (2014) by Pranavaghanan M — 28 Dec 2014
Bizarre, well-done, sci-fi mystery that revolves around a comet and the scientific theory of Schrodinger's cat - except that instead of only 2 possible outcomes, it seems there are an infinite number (or, at the minimum, at least 6. Well-acted with excellent dialogue and character reactions, this movie examines a variety of human emotions and responses when faced with one's own existence, non-existence, and multi-existence. Very difficult movie to end - and they did a fine job with it - though it failed to delve deeper into the premise. As mentioned by critics, this has a very "Twilight Zone" feel to it in a good way. Recommended, but it's not a popcorn movie - you really need to think and pay attention the entire way through.
Grade = 7.5/10.
