From a mostly objective perspective this film shows how even the most simple of people's lives can be complicated. The search for meaning is something I identified with, but it paints an especially bleak reality of life in Oregon, and in general across the USA.
It shows the incomplete hypocritical nature of Christians in general showing how they fall short as human beings.
