Review of Coffy (1973) by Kevin R — 21 Jun 2007
Only recently did I take the time to experience Blacksploitation cinema, and there's no better place to start than Coffy staring Pam Grier.
Quentin Tarantino never stops flapping his gums about these flicks, so I thought I'd find out what all the hoopla was about, and what I discovered was modification of white pop culture, a pro-black movement if you will, and I loved it.
Pam and her giant breast were a treat for the eyes, and this introduction to Black Cinema only makes me want to come back for more.
This is the end of your rotten life, you motherf$@kin' dope pusher! - Coffy.
