Review of Coffee and Cigarettes (2004) by Richard B — 13 Dec 2007
This is a very mixed rating, the movie definitely deserves a perfect rating for its premise and style. The directing is very nice and deserves 4 stars, the execution is the real problem with this movie.First off they mention the presence of the coffee and cigarettes too much, it's in the title and most of the shots are dedicated to it so I think it is unnecessary to pound it into my face with dialog. The acting is mostly sub par, their are a couple actors that are very good but they only enhance their certain scenes. Wrap up: style and premise=amazing, execution=poor.
Tom Waits=hilarious.
