Review of Coffee and Cigarettes (2004) by Rhys G — 10 Jan 2008
I watched this one all at once, which may not be the best way to go about it. The theme is what connects these vignettes, otherwise there's really no link between them, and they're the most interesting sorts of character studies - the ones where the character's desires are the forefront of the scene, but the settings and situations are really quite bland.
No wonder this one has found itself being used as an example to film studies students.
