Review of Coffee and Cigarettes (2004) by Kayt D — 28 Jan 2008
If you can get past the jim jarmusch weirdness of the first scene, (and get into it because it carries on like that. Just weird intimate little coffee shop scenes that kind of haunt you and remind you of a million awkward conversations you've had). then this is great.
Watch it through a few times and it just gets better.
Tom waits and iggy pop having an awkward conversation...pure gold.
Loved it.
Loved that it didn't require me to follow the story.
Loved the awkwardness.
Not sure i'll be able to catch up with a near stranger for coffee ever again.
Unless its tom waits who I would have just kissed. sigh!
