Review of Coffee and Cigarettes (1987) by Liam M — 05 Jun 2008

I thought I would be quite bored during this film seeing as it's just people talking whilst drinking coffee and smoking cigarettes, however I was actually pleasantly surprised. The best part in my opinion is the exchange between Steve Coogan and Alfred Mollina which was hilarious but Cate Blanchett's piece is also great, especially as she plays both characters.

I was disappointed by Iggy Pop and Tom Waits but what can you do? It's all about the script and the moody photography.
