Review of Cocoon: The Return (1988) by Aaron B — 17 Sep 2009

Every notable character makes an appearance in the film. All the actors came back but sadly I felt the story was just not there. The pacing was so bizarre and I felt there were so many plots going on at once. It still had some great moments and the film was not horrible. It just felt like there was no focus and some parts were so slow. Especially the ending because the escape was just way too easy. Overall, it does not compare to the original but there are some scenes that either were much like the original or had the same heartwarming effect.

On a side note - I felt showing the clips from both movies at the end was kind of bizarre.
