Review of Cocoon (1995) by Michael H — 15 Mar 2009
Watched this with the kids, so Howard's trademark crude sex humor had me cringing a couple times. I guess he thinks he needs it to make him a "real" director. He did the same thing in "Parenthood".
If he wants to be real, he could respect his genre and make the sex jokes subtle -- he could also try for funny while he's at it. Still, a nice little movie. The old people are cute, Brian Dennehy is neat, Raquel Welch's daughter is hot and wow! Is that Steve Guttenberg's chest? Not bad.
