Review of Cocoon (1995) by Jessie V — 10 May 2009
I remember this movie fondly as a kid and identifying with the boy in the film who'd rather hang out with old people than his peers. It's a cheesy little film about old people discovering the fountain of youth in a private pool neighboring their old folks home.
I forgot what a cutie pie Steve Guttenberg was and how down-to-Earth hokey Wilford Brimley could be. It's one of those cute films with a strong cast that just makes you feel happy despite it's simple tale with little to no conflict.
Check it out on a Sunday morning with some rugrats.
