Review of Cocoon (1985) by Ken S — 02 Nov 2013
Ron Howard directs this fun and whimsical tale of some geriatrics who discover a sort of fountain of youth in a nearby pool, and as it turns out its rejuvenating properties come from the aliens who just moved in.
Its a lovely little picture with a great cast and an ending that admittedly got me a little choked up. It's the performances and Howard's direction that really got me hooked, the the special effects are quite good too.
Definitely recommended.
