Review of Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky (2009) by Joe L — 02 Oct 2010
Coco Chanel and Igor Stravinsky is another missed effort in France's recent list of films based off the famous figure and has less of an impact than the decent Coco avant Chanel. The romance between Coco and Igor here is too formulated while also trying to give some impressions to other classic romances as seen in Becoming Jane or Bright Star that end up failing.
The performances are weak and a bit too stale. The only positives the film has are it's costume and set design but those pieces always work in these type of romance films. Though a weak story and weak performances due this film no good and it ends up being a large disappointment.
