Review of Coco Before Chanel (2009) by François M — 25 Mar 2012

So much missing from this film that left me feeling disappointed by it. Acting and cinematography was great, just lacked substance. The best bit was the ending when we see Coco Chanel well established as a fashion designer and sitting on the staircase of her own boutique at 31 Rue Cambon observing her models display her designs.

I would like to have seen more about where her inspiration for her designs came from, as in reality Coco Chanel's designs were all inspired from her past and this did not come across in the film.
