Review of Coco (2017) by Juan P — 10 May 2018
The movie Coco is centered around mexican culture, specifically the day of the dead. It goes into the different aspects of it such as the offended beings how relatives visit from the afterlife, and how the dead visit on that day.
The movie focuses on a young boy named Miguel who wants to his family to let him play music, as it is forbidden in his family. He ends up in the land of the dead looking for his great great grandfathers blessing to return to the land of the living and play music.
He has a number of obstacles to pass before he can reach the ending of the story. The movie is full of plot holes and misgivings. It is alooking good in its intention to entertain viewers with its pleasing visuals.
The filmmaker did an excellent job with this movie and accomplished his goal of entertaining people. It's overall a good story with some major mistakes in it. Like *SPOILERS* that Coco had a picture of her dad in her drawer or that hectares couldn't just have told Miguel who his family was.
The villain is a short lived one with realistic motives behind his actions. So you can picture someone being like that in real life and it make you think what if your favorite musician was like that. The emotions in the movie fit the tone where it is needed.
This movie was delightful and a recommended viewing for all to enjoy.
