Review of Coco (2017) by Johanna M — 22 May 2018
The movie coco it was released November 22,2017 by Lee Unkrich. The story follows a 12-year old-boy named Miguel Rivera who is accidentally transported to the land of the death, where he seeks the help of his deceased musician great-great grandfather to return him to his family among the living.
A talent show was going on in the plaza. Miguel wanted to participate in the talent show to show the love he has for music to his family. But his grandma she never liked music at all and she prohibited music for all the family.
Also the rest of his family agreed with the grandma no music allowed. Miguel ended up in the land of the death and he wanted to go back but he couldn't unless he would get a blessing from one of the family members from the death but he had to accept the conditions that they had to give him.
In the movie on the land of the death you see a lot of colors everything is very bright. Some people wearing costumes. Also Miguel had to be unrecognized from the death people so they wouldn't recognized him that he was a living boy.
In my opinion the movie was good but in some parts it wouldn't make any sense. In the part where the great grandma she was forgetting his dad. But then she remembered that she got the letters and the pictures of her dad.
I would like to know how did that happens if she was forgetting him. The movie coco was good for family and kids to watch. All kids enjoyed it. The filmmaker did a good job but he could also make some good changes on the movie.
Because it had so many plot holes and also some parts it didn't made any sense on what the characters would say or do. But other than that it was a really good movie.
