Review of Coco (2017) by Josue P — 22 May 2018

The movie coco was about a little boy Miguel that goes on a journey to play music but ends up in the land of the living dead. The movie starts with him polishing shoes when a mariachi lets him play a guitar but he gets caught by his grandma. But Miguel still decides to play in the town plaza the problem is that he doesn't have a guitar. He steals it from who he thinks is his great grandpa but ends up in the land of the living dead where he goes on a crazy adventure trying to meet his great grandpa. Comes to find out that the guy who he thought was his great grandpa isn't his great grandpa so he has to save the day by putting his photo on the ofrenda . Which he received the other piece of the photo of the photo from his mama coco. The movie ends in a victory when miguel saves the day but then it shifts to sad when his mama coco passes away.

The filmmaker Lee Unkrich did a very good with the movie It's not a surprise though because he co-directed Monsters inc.,and Finding Nemo. He also directed Toy Story 2 & 3 so it's no surprise coco and toy story won an academy award .

The movie has a good twist were miguel goes the whole movie thinking that Ernesto de la Cruz was his great grandpa. He is a famous singer that everyone sees as a good guy. But he is the murder of miguel's real great grandpa Hector. Ernesto attempts to kill miguel and ends up getting exposed on live t.v. that he is a murder and robbery of Hector's music.

The actor Anthony gonzales who plays miguel and Gael Garcia bernal who plays Hector. They played the roles very well and they look just like the characters in the movie. The movie gets an A+ rating and I recommend for people to watch it.
