Review of Coco (2017) by Ruby B — 22 May 2018
The movie "CoCo" is a very unforgettable movie, as well as a friendly family oriented film. Throughout the movie, Miguel builds a strong passion for music. The only issue was the family had bad blood with the music culture, Miguel is trying to convince his family to let him be a musician, but with the incident from long long ago, his great great grandfather abandoned his great great grandmother to become a musician himself.
Although Miguel has always had rhythm in his veins to any sound or beat, he was never able to express his true talent that only himself heard behind walls. He was a very good singer as well as guitar player, when he would come close to playing any instrument outside, his grandma would prohibit and snatch it away.
The only way Miguel would be able to sing or play was with the blessing of his great great grandmother, although the only way she would do so was to see her on the day of the dead, when shes crossing the "Living Bridge".
It didn't take long when his great great grandmother wasn't able to cross over to the land of the living. Even though she would not bless Miguel with her blessing, he continued to follow his dream and peruse being a musician.
