In the film of coco Miguel and his family have banned music forever because of a tragic past. Miguel tries to bring music back together he ends up going to a world De Los Muertos. There he discovers the truth why they banned music. When he goes into the world de los muertos ge sees all his family. During that time of being there he tries to discover the truth from his great grandpa named Ernesto De La Cruz but he ends up finding out that he wasn't really who he thought he was.

So miguel then discovers that his real great grandpa was right in front of him the whole time his name was Hector they both has discovered that they were both family they both had to find out a way to get out of a tunnel that evil Ernesto has placed them at.

Eventually, they were saved by Hectors wife, and miguel was finally able to get his blessing to return back home to his family in the living world as soon as he returned back he rushed to mama coco so she can remember her father so he can live in the other side of living dead.
