The first third of the movie had me completely captured-- easily 4 to 4.5 stars based on the beginning. The last third caught me surprise. Even though I predicted the ending, I still ended up crying. Everyone was right about that part; it does tug on the heartstrings.
It was the middle third that took my rating down. It was very dark, and it dragged and dragged and dragged. Overall a good film-- better if they could have done something about the middle.
