Wow! I had high expectations for this film, but it was more enjoyable than I thought it would be! Even with a long running time and not much laughs, Coco succeeds thanks to its gorgeous visuals, endearing characters, imaginative settings, strong plot, and heartfelt messages about the importance of life, death, memories, and family.
It's also great to see Mexican culture be represented with care and affection by a Hollywood studio. A great film to watch on your Thanksgiving break. 8.5/10.
(P.S. That Frozen short was awful.
