Review of Coco (2017) by Frank R — 24 Nov 2017
[Non-spoiler review] This movie was released in Mexico almost one month before it was in the USA. Marketing wise, it was a really intelligent move since "el Día de Muertos" is celebrated on November 2, but it was not only intelligent from their part, it was also respectful, since the movie is based on its culture. This movie represents Mexico and their people so well that is absolutely incredible, it leaved the people speechless in the theaters... With eyes full of tears.
It is a well-documented movie with an incredible background research, it does not disrespect Mexico's culture in anyway, it is a beautiful story about family, dreams and loving & remembering the people that you have lost.
I hope the rest of the world also enjoy it! Because Mexico enjoyed it greatly.
