Review of Coco (2017) by Carlo%20 A — 16 Nov 2017
Captured so much things right from mexico, the pros and cons of a family. Sentimental, visually amazing although the great cinematography usually lasts few frames. Im from Mexico and I don't think that a kid oriented film has ever captured mexico the way this film did.
Also the music is right on point, not too ranchera for only die hard fans to like it, and not too pop to stop calling it ranchera. Great peak into the golden age of mexican cinema that might interest a few people in Mexico's pop culture like: Cantinflas, Pedro Infante and Jorge Negrete.
Just so much back-story gotten right and also great voice-acting (in spanish at least). I think this may be a competitor for pixar's greatest film and certainly one of the best animated films I've seen in my life.
Great and bold film by pixar, hats off.
