Review of Coco (2017) by Cuervo G — 17 Nov 2017
Coco is an impressive work of filmography, with a great proposal of art that fully respects the premises of the traditional essence of the Day of the Dead, the director gives as clear evidence on how to find a magnificent strategy on how to connect the audience ( especially to the Mexican population) both in his native country and in the United States and around the world.
With its ancentral traditions, especially one of the most important values ??of both life and death: the family. A value that makes the Mexican reflect as a special example. However, certainly the tradition of valuing the family, can not only be portrayed in Mexican culture, since a certain aspect can be portrayed in Japanese culture, among others.
However, in Mexican culture this value is more praised than any other. There will be people in the film medium who can believe that this film can be qualified as a work, just because the Mexican culture is the protagonist, and knowing how the Mexican population has been misrepresented in American territory by certain elements, I am not surprised that consider it as such and can not be qualified as: "Fresh".
But neither would it be fair that some have to pay for the acts of some bad elements of society.
