Review of Cockneys vs Zombies (2012) by Iain B — 05 Dec 2012

Cockneys vs Zombies is perfect Friday night fodder. It is not art - but what do you expect with a title like that? What you do get is some very good horror-comedy, with a couple of inspired comedy moments (how do you deal with a zombie baby? watch this and you'll know).

The cast give their Cockney all, and director Matthias Hoene has a couple of great little shots - but once you've seen it, you will forget it. So not bad, just not memorable, and in a year when the TV zombie series The Walking Dead has hit new dramatic highs in the subgenre, one really needs to raise the game to make the undead living again.
