Review of Cobra (1986) by Paul P — 26 Jan 2009
Make no mistake, this is a poor film. From the acting through to the story and direction, it's pony... But it's strangely watchable and absolutely hilarious...
Every 80's cliche is delivered, and watching Sly at the height of his 80's awesomeness wearing outfits that no one else could get away with slaughtering a cast of hundreds whilst chewing on a toothpick, all to a soft rock synth soundtrack, this captures the spirit of those 80's action flicks perfectly. Only soneone of Sly's stature could get away with being involved in a film like this and come out ok.
Any film with Sly in where he is called Marion demands our attention. Yes, its awful and has no redeeming features, but it's entertainment value can't be denied. Awesome.....
