Review of Cobra (1986) by Andrew P — 22 Feb 2010
While this is by no means a good movie, it's even hard to enjoy on a mid-80's action cheese level. The Stallone-written dialogue merely serves as a delivery system for cheap one-liners its star gets to give through his clenched jaw.
Even the action sequences are clumsily staged in a way that makes you wonder if they were added from a different movie. Brigitte Nielsen seems to go in and out of her accent, but she delivers the best acting performance of the whole film.
All in all, the movie suffers from just being poorly structured all around. There isn't even a campy thrust behind the proceedings. At least "Judge Dredd" had that.
