COBRA is a bloody masterpiece and don't let any other "reviewer" tell you different!! I can't think of any other movie that has a more kick ass begining other than maybe WILD AT HEART or THE STUFF!! I don't blame that guy for going into the grocery store and blowing away all those vegetables - fuckin' food prices going up and all.
And hey - I love the sign on the wall there "this store is a good place to shop!" Yeah....if you want get blown away.... Back in the day (late 1980's), I had a VHS tape with this flick and TO LIVE AND DIE IN L.
A. - I must have watched the tape a couple dozen times!! COBRA is awesome action packed mindless fun!! Awesome shootouts, Stallone kicking criminal ass, a classic TOYS R US comercial, a great car chase, Sly drinking warm COORS and saving one fuckin' piece of pizza, a wicked hospital massacre, MIAMI VICE inspired music video sequences with great 80's cheesy tunes, a cult of axe clanging maniacs, a cameo by David (SLEDGE HAMMER) Rasche, numerous killing in various ways.
...i mean this flick is 1980's action film PERFECT. The only thing that would have made it even better would have been some nudity and say a guy like David Hess being one of the many psychopaths. COBRA is great and thats the bottom line!!
