Review of Cobra (1986) by James H — 03 Aug 2010
This movie could only have been made in 1986. While the cheese factor is insanly high, and it's mildly entertaining in that respect, it's also a mindless, thoughtless piece of trash. Stallone's Marion "Cobra" Cobretti is just as violent and sadistic as the killers he's trying to stop.
The film does have the best montage of the 80s: scenes of Cobra and his partner (Poppie from Seinfeld) searching for the killers intercut with the killers sharpening their weapons and Brigitte Nielsen modelling with robots.
Robots.
