Review of Cobra (1986) by Christopher H — 24 Apr 2014
It's been about 26 years since I last saw this film, and though far from awful, it's not very good, I suspect because about 40 minutes of exposition were cut, leaving only a shell of violence that doesn't seem so bad in the light of today's forensic crime dramas, but was pretty out there at that time, and had to be trimmed to avoid an X rating.
The film is most notable to me for having one of the creepiest villains of the 80's, enough to evoke the impression on some people's part that maybe that actor actually was possessed, what with the low growl and the green tinted psycho eyes.
