One of the best screen portrayl's of all time, and one of my favorite films. Sissy Spacek is Lorretta Lynn the Queen of Country music who deals with poverty, and eventually climbs to the top of the country music charts.
This is probably Tommy Lee Jones greatest performances (aside from BLUE SKY) as her controlling husband who pushes her to achieve greatness in singing. A truly great bio film, that shames the likes RAY.
A true classic film.
